Mangaluru: Sudarshan Moodbidri, who has been serving as the district general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was elected as the new president of Dakshina Kannada district unit BJP on Sunday, January 12.
Sudarshan took charge from MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor, whose term ended in September, 2019. Sources from district BJP informed that the elections were held at the BJP district office and Sudarshan was elected unanimously.
State BJP vice president Nirmal Kumar Surana was present during the election as he was appointed as the observer for the election.
Earlier, State BJP had instructed the district units to complete election process by January 12.
