Mangaluru: They say necessity is the mother of all invention, but a student in Mangaluru lost his face after being caught when the innovative idea when miserably awry.
In a bizarre episode, a student living in a rented apartment was caught after he tried to sneak his friend into his accommodation in a rather unbelieavbly precarious way.
The student is said to have stacked his friend up in a suitcase in a bid to bring him into his accommodation.
However, all efforts went futile when the other occupants living in the apartment grew suspicious and caught him red-handed.
The incident took place in an apartment in Arya Samaj road on Sunday morning.
It is said that the building association had decided to prohibit the entry of outsiders completely in wake of the Corona scare and the lockdown.
However, one student, who was living on rent in the buulding kept seeking permission from the Association to bring his friend into the apartment because he was living all alone and the Association had denied permission.
Howeer, on Sunday morning the student was seen puling a huge suitcase into the apartment that caught the attention of the other apartment owners.
When they came close to the suitcase, they sensed some kind of movemet happening inside the suitcase, which led them to insist that the student opens the suitcase immediately.
On opening the suitcase, they were shocked to see a youth stacked inside the suitcase.
Kadri police were intimated about the same. The students were taken away from the spot by the police.
