Mangaluru: A graduation student from a private college in Puttur has been suspended for 15 days for criticising BJP National President Amit Shah during his visit to the college on February 21.
Jaswin, a final year student of Vivekananda Law College Puttur is the suspended student.
On February 19, BJP President Amit Shah visited Vivekananda College and addressed the students. The suspended student posted a photograph of the Shah event on Instragram with a caption “Bundal Raaja.”
The college management has asked the student not to attend classes and suspended him for 15 days.
Ahead of the Assembly polls scheduled to be held in May, Shah launched the BJP’s poll campaign in the communally sensitive Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada districts in coastal Karnataka on February 19. Shah had addressed students at the Vivekananda College in Puttur, urging them to work towards realising a new India.
