Mangaluru: Two persons were injured when miscreants pelted stones towards a bus, which was returning from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vijaya Sankalpa’ rally held at the Nehru Maidan here on Saturday, April 13.
The injured have been identified as Sujan (24) and Nahush (22), both are the residents of Kumpala. According to sources, the bus was returning from Nehru Maidan after attending Modi’s rally. When the bus reached near Kuttar, some miscreants pelted stones at it. When the bus was stopped, the miscreants fled the scene.
Condemning the incident, the passengers in the bus and other BJP leaders rushed to Konaje police station and demanded the arrest of stone pelters immediately. Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil also rushed to Konaje police station and convinced the mob to disperse from the place.
