Mangaluru: The state government should pay special attention and adopt special measures for Mangaluru to control the Covid pandemic, said former minister Ramanath Rai.
Speaking at the press conference here on Monday, April 19, Rai said, “After Bengaluru, Mangaluru is a major city in the state. The country has been affected by the second wave of the Covid pandemic, and cases are increasing by the day. The state government should pay special attention to Mangaluru and undertake special measures to combat the pandemic here, as well as convene an all-party meeting.”
Further, he said, ” The district in-charge minister has not conducted any meeting with the officials regarding measures to be taken to face the pandemic.”
“There is no proper coordination between the people’s representatives and officials which has led to confusion among the public, “he added.
