Mangaluru: Srinivas University and Srinivas Group of Institutions is organising a ‘free job fair’ in their city campus at Pandeshwar on July 27.
The uniqueness about this job fair is that the job seekers can also seek part-time jobs, freelancing jobs, apprenticeships, project training and internships along with full-time employment. Informing about the job fair on Wednesday, July 24, Vice-Chancellor of Srinivas University Dr P S Aithal said, “ the job fair is open for all and any candidates with SSLC, PUC, ITI, diploma, polytechnic, any graduation or post-graduation background can apply. Free spot registration is available at the venue and applicants should come with multiple resume copies with identity cards, photographs and all relevant necessary documents”.
Aithal said that over 25 percent of the students who have completed their graduation are unable to pursue post-graduation owing to their poor financial background. “Such students can attend this job fair and get part-time jobs in many companies. If such students succeed to get part-time jobs, then they would earn while they learn. Our institution has taken this new concept of ‘earn while learn’, which would definitely help students to continue their education and earn income”, Aithal added.
Convener of the job fair and registrar of Srinivas University Dr Ajay Kumar informed that over 85 different companies like Mandovi Motors Pvt Ltd, Blueline Computers, Diya Systems, IDBI, Eureka Forbes Unite Toyota, Star Health Insurance, Reliance Jio among others have already confirmed their participation and many more companies have shown interest to participate in the job fair.
Deputy Registrar and co-convener Prof Ankith, placement officer Prof Varun Shenoy, SBI Chief Manager, GHS Road Prashanth Shenoy among others were present.
