Mangaluru: Though there is no progress yet in nabbing the culprits involved in the brutal murder of Shreemathi Shetty, whose chopped body parts were found in two different locations in the city two days ago, the police found a scooter belonging to Shreemathi Shetty on Tuesday, May 13 night.

However, it is still not confirmed if the same two-wheeler was used for the crime. Shreemathi Shetty was found murdered with her body parts chopped and stuffed in a gunny bag near Kadri Park on May 11. Soon after the murder incident, the Commissioner of Police, Sandeep Patil had formed three teams to crack the case. Two days after the incident, police found the scooter of the victim. Blood stains were found on the scooter which had a tiffin box, charger and a handkerchief. However, police refused to reveal further developments as the investigation is in process.

Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil informed that his team had gathered a few clues and was working on them. He also expressed confidence that the police would crack the case soon.

Meanwhile, some women’s organisations have urged the police to crack the case and nab the culprits soon.
