Serial killer Cyanide Mohan convicted in final case against him

Mangaluru: The Sixth Additional District and Sessions Court has convicted serial killer Cyanide Mohan Kumar in the murder of a woman from Kasargod district, on Saturday, June 20.

It is the 20th and last case against accused Mohan Kumar and the quantum of punishment is expected to be announced on June 24.

Mohan Kumar, a school teacher by profession had promised marriage to the Kasargod based woman and took her to Bengaluru.

After having physical relationship with the woman, he had administered cyanide to her claiming that it was a contraceptive to avoid pregnancy.

As Mohan Kumar was arrested by the police in October 2009, victim’s sister had filed a case against Cyanide Mohan Kumar.

After hearing the arguments of public prosecutors Judith O M Crasta and Jayaram Shetty, Judge Saidunnisa convicted accused Mohan Kumar.

With this Mohan Kumar has been convicted in all 20 cases filed against him with the charge of rape and murder.
