Mangaluru: In a bizarre incident, the staff of a private hospital evicted four senior citizens and dropped them at the market in Kankanady. The incident happened on the night of Thursday, June 18.

The four were inpatients at the district Wenlock Hospital and recently they were shifted to the private hospital in the outskirts of the city since Wenlock hospital was converted into COVID hospital three months back. All of a sudden the hospital staff dropped them off in this public space.

The local traders came to the rescue of the elderly people and provided them food and water and also made arrangements for them to spend the night. They have also urged the district administration and local representatives to make proper arrangements to take care of these elderly citizens.
