Mangaluru: Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management (SCEM), takes pride in being ranked among the TOP 25 in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovations Achievements (ARIIA) 2020, and notably the TOP 3 in the State of Karnataka as per the E-released report by the Ministry of Education on 18th Aug’ 2020. Sahyadri is listed in ‘Band A’ Institution in the category of ‘Private or Self-Financed College’.
ARIIA has focused on 6 main Indicators Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has initiated ‘Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA)’ to systematically rank education institutions and universities primarily on innovation-related indicators. ARIIA considers all major indicators which are commonly used globally to rank the most innovative education institutions/universities in the world.
The Indicators are:
- Programs and Activities on IPR, Innovation, Start-up, and Entrepreneurship
- Pre Incubation & Incubation Infrastructure & Facilities to Support I&E
- Annual Budget Spent on Promoting and Supporting I&E Activities
- Courses on Innovation, IPR and Entrepreneurship Development
- Intellectual Property (IP), Technology Transfer and Commercialization
- Successful Innovation and Start-ups & Funding Innovation & start-ups
The E-Release of Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) was carried out in the august presence of the Chief Guest Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India; Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Hon’ble Minister of Education and Shri Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre, Hon’ble Minister of State were the Guests of Honour.
Shri Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Dr. Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, MHRD Innovation Cell, Shri Dipan Sahu, National Coordinator of NISP, ARIIA, and IIC, MHRD’s Innovation Cell were among the other dignitaries present during the E-Release.
ARIIA Ranking has wide acceptance among India HEIs and it promises to inspire Indian institutions to reorient their mindset and build ecosystems to encourage high-quality research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
ARIIA aims at setting directions to institutions for future development, for making them globally competitive and strives to be forefront of innovation.
