Mangaluru: Rotary Club Mangaluru and the Rotaract Club, SDM PG Center jointly organized the fourth edition of the Mangaluru round of the Ideals Roto Quiz here on Sunday, September 8th at the SDM P.G center.
Mr Mukund Kamath proprietor of Ideals Ice Cream, the sponsor for the competition was was the chief guest at the Inaugural that preceded the competition. Prizes were distributed by PDG Rtn Surya Prakash Bhat, Asst. Governor Rtn. Sumith Rao and Director of SDM P.G center Mrs Seema Shenoy.
A record number of 60 teams from 45 colleges in and around Mangalore participated in the event. KMC Mangalore, Nitte College of Mass Communications, Mahesh P.U college and NITK Suruthkal reached the final round, where NITK Suruthkal emerged the winners and Mahesh P.U College the Runners up.
The two winning teams will go on to participate in the 60th version of the Ramnarayan Chellarams Roto quiz on Monday the 16th of September at Bengaluru, hosted by Rotary Club & Rotaract Clubs Bengaluru.
The President, Secretary, Youth Service Director, Chairman Youth Service along with four other Rotarians, President of Rotaract club of Bangalore and 8 Rotaractors from Rotary Club Bangalore and Cantonment were in attendance at the Quiz competition. Presidents of SDM Rotaract Rtr. Shamith Shetty and Besant Rotaract Rtr. Kavyashree too were present along with many other Rotarians and Rotaractors. Rtn. SVL Narayan from Rotary Club Bangalore was the Quizmaster.
