Mangaluru: The ceiling of the 125-year-old railway station at Ullala collapsed on Friday, July 13, following heavy rains that have battered the district.

The commuters from Ullal often find shelter at the unused old building that stands beside the new station.

According to the sources, commuters used this old building as a restroom, after the railway station was shifted to the new building. A few passengers were at the station but all escaped unhurt.
