Retired teacher killed by burglars at her residence; husband left injured

Kasargod : Burglars entered the house of retired teacher and slit her throat, injured her husband grievously, before decamping with the booty in Chemini town limits on the night of December 13.

P V Janaki (65) , resident of Chemini Puliyannoor is the deceased. The burglars assaulted both after tying them down and fled with jewellery and cash. Preliminary reports suggest that 3-member gang was involved in the heist. Husband Krishnan, also a retired teacher was rushed to a hospital with multiple injuries.

Police accompanied by forensic experts and dog squad rushed to the crime scene. More details are expected after further investigation into the incident.
