Mangaluru: Renowned photojournalist Keshav Vitla passed away on Sunday, May 27 at district Wenlock Hospital owing to renal failure. He was 56-years-old.
Keshav started his career as a photo journalist in 1984 with ‘Mungaru’ and then went on to join the New Indian Express in 1996. He then started freelance photography for various reputed media houses like the Telegraph, Hindustan Times and others.
He has even bagged several awards including the DK Rajotsava award.
Last year, he compiled a coffee table book titled “Facets of Karnataka- A pictorial journey” on the ecological treasures of Karnataka, which was released by former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
His last rites will be held today at 2 pm at his residence in Vittal.
