Mangaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy challenged that if the audio clip released by him does not have the voice of B S Yeddyurappa and proven fake, he would be ready to tender his resignation.
Addressing the reporters at Dharmastala on the sidelines of Mahamastakabhisheka programme, Kumaraswamy clarified that the audio clip was genuine. “Though I have movie background, there is no necessity to create fake audio as claimed by B S Yeddyurappa. I am committed to my words and I am ready to face any probe in this regard”, he said.
When the reporters pointed at Speaker Ramesh Kumar’s statement on the audio clip, Kumaraswamy said, “Yeddyurappa had to step down within a month, after he failed to appear before Dharmastala temple. Though he invited me to the temple for the ‘truth test’ concerning an allegation against me in the year 2011. If the audio clip is proven to be fake, I am ready to step down from the chief minister’s post”, he said.
