hdk belBelthangady: Hours after Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s announcement that the phone tapping case would be handed over to the CBI, former CM HD Kumaraswamy welcomed the move saying that he is ready to face any investigation into the case.

As per a report by ANI, Kumaraswamy told reporters here in Belthangady that he is ready to face any investigation into the telephone taping issue. “Let them conduct an international-level enquiry on the phone taping charges against me,” he said, alleging that he is being targetted by the regional electronic media channels.

“I have not done anything. There is false propaganda being spread against me by the electronic media. They will not be successful,” he added.

It can be recalled that former JD(S) state president AH Vishwanath, one of the rebel MLAs, had alleged that the coalition government led had tapped the personal phoned of around 300 leaders, including senior Congress leader Siddaramiah.

As many of the leaders, including Congress leader Siddaramaiah, had demanded that the matter be probed, CM BSY had announced that he would be handing the matter over to the CBI for an investigation.
