Mangaluru: Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary informed that he would be ready to contest in the next coming Lok Sabha election, if the Congress High Command issues him a ticket.
Speaking to the reporters after distributing fruits to the inmates of orphanage `Prashanth Nivas` in Jeppu Seminary, to mark the birthday celebration of Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi on Sunday, December 9 Poojary said that he has already informed the High Command about his willingness to contest in the election. “If they are ready to provide me ticket, I will definitely contest in the election”, he said.
Meanwhile, he asked all Congress workers to work hard and to obtain the trust of people. “In order to get success in the election, every worker should work hard. Unless and until we receive the confidence of the people, we will not get success in the election“, he said.
Will stick by my stand on Ram Mandir
Responding to a query on his recent statement that Ram Mandir should be constructed at Ayodhya only and everyone should extend their support for the same, Poojary clarified that he will never regret his words and he will stick by his statement. ” If anyone wants to encounter me, let them do it, but I will not step back from my words“, he added.
