Mangaluru: The children’s park located at Pandeshwar Lane was in a dilapidated state. Though there were some toys and play equipment, it was not in a good condition. Considering this, Ramakrishna Mission organised a cleanliness drive under its Swaccha Bharat campaign at this children’s park and gave a new look recently.
The members of Ramakrishna Mission have planted ornamental plants and laid interlock at the park. Damaged toys were replaced with new ones. The compound wall was also repaired and painted with attractive images. Catchy slogans were also written on the outer wall.
Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil has thanked Ramakrishna Mission for selecting children’s park at Police Lane under its cleanliness drive and posted the images of old and new park in his twitter handle.
Earlier, no children visited this park as the play equipment were not in working condition. But, after Ramakrishna mission breathed life into the park, the giggles and laughters of little kids are resonating in this park.
