Ram Mandir Bhumi Pujan: Compol imposes Section 144 in M’luru City

Mangaluru: With the Bhumi Pujan ceremony (ground breaking) scheduled to be held on August 5, at Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka has been put on high alert.

Accordingly, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar has announced Section 144 in the city on August 5, considering the sensitivity of the issue.

The section will be in place from 8 pm on August 4 to 6 am on August 6 and during this period no gathering of more than five people will be allowed in public places. 

Carrying weapons, rallies, protests, processions, bursting crackers etc have been prohibited.
