Mangaluru: Senior KAS officer K Raju Mogaveera took charge as Registrar (Administration) of Mangalore University on Monday. Vice Chancellor Prof. P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya formally welcomed the new Registrar with a floral bouquet.
K Raju Mogaveera conducted an informal meeting and directed officials to submit a priority list of works in each department to lessen the burden in the post-Covid-19 period. He also expressed his intentions to implement a few new projects like rainwater harvesting (which he initiated in Sirsi) in the University campus.
Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. P L Dharma, Finance Officer B Narayana, Special Officers M Jayashankar, Dr. Nagappa Gowda, Deputy Registrar Hukrappa Naik, Electronics Department Chairman Prof. Naveen Kumar and others were present.
Abour K Raju Mogaveera
Raju Mogaveera hails from Kundapur and completed his degree in Bandarkars’ College and mastered business administration in the Mangalore University. He started his career in the advertisement section of Deccan Herald (Bengaluru). After completing his KAS, he worked as a Tahsildar in various places, including Mangaluru. He also served as Assistant Commissioner of Sirsi, Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) in the Mangaluru City Corporation and Additional Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
