Pulwama attack: M’luru Bishop calls upon churches to pray for peace

Mangaluru: Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha of Mangaluru Diocese has requested all the churches of Mangalore diocese to show oneness with the affected fellow citizens of the country, on this Saturday/Sunday, in the backdrop of the demonic Pulwama attack. 

In his call, he has asked all the churches to pray for the souls of the deceased soldiers and for the bereaved members of their families during all the masses, hold a prayer service after main Mass or all the Masses for the purpose mentioned above, Pray for peace and hold a condolence meeting, inviting people/leaders of all faiths.

Pulwama attack on Thursday killed scores of CRPF troopers after a Jihadi suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden car into their vehicle.

‘We are deeply saddened by the heinous attack by the terrorists on our CRPF troop on 14th February at Pulwama, in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 42 Jawans are killed and few others injured. While we condemn such brutal act, we show our solidarity with the families of those killed in this inhuman act’.
