Prof. Dr Mithra N. Hegde, Vice Principal, Head of the Department, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Nitte (Deemed to be University) was bestowed with the prestigious IACDE National Academic Excellence Award 2020 by the Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at the 35th IACDE National Conference held at Guwahati, Assam from the 26th to 28th of February 2021, appreciating her efforts as an educator that has led to the advancement of the art and sciences of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
35th IACDE National Conference was held at the Hotel Kiranshree Grand, Guwahati, Assam from the 26th to 28th of February 2021. The conference was attended by Prof. Dr Mithra N. Hegde, Vice Principal, Head of the Department, Dr Mahalaxmi Yelapure, Dr Chitharanjan Shetty, Dr Shruthi Attavar, Dr Tony Mathew, Dr Raksha Bhat, Dr Teena D Souza, Dr Preethsh Shetty, Dr Nireeksha and three postgraduate students.
Prof. Dr Mithra N. Prof. Dr Mithra N. Hegde conducted a Pre-Conference Course titled “Magnification & Illumination in Clinical Dentistry: Concepts” on the 26th of February 2021 and delivered a guest lecture “Precision and Perfection in illumination –a clinical concept”.
Dr Nishmitha Hegde, I MDS student won overall third prize for a poster presentation titled “Bond strength and microleakage analysis of Nanocomposites- A Systematic review.”
Dr Sunheri Bajpe presented a paper titled “a comparative evaluation of smear layer removal by using EDTA, Etdronic Acid, and Chitosan Nanoparticles solution as root canal irrigants: An in vitro study”.
