Mangalore : The police who are investigating into the case of murder of Pachu alias Prashanth (35), the manager of Sri Adhinatheshwara Roadlines in Mangalore, are suspecting the hands of underworld elements behind the murder.
It may be recalled here that Prashanth was killed near the Mangala Bar at Valencia on April 7, Sunday night after being dragged out of his Fortuner car.
Police say there are no criminal cases against Prashanth in any police station, but do not rule out the possibilities of the hands of underworld elements. ACP TR Jagannath has said that the police have gathered some leads and that the killers may soon be arrested.
The assailants who had killed Prashanth had also damaged his Fortuner car. Soon after the murder, a Kannada channel had also received a phone call from a person claiming himself to be Vicky Shetty and that Prashanth was murdered to avenge the killing of Bejai Raja.
