Panambur police seize 20 loads of illegally stored sand

Mangaluru: The Panambur police traced illegal storage of sand and seized around 20 loads of it from Kasba Bengre on Friday, November 2.

Sources from Panambur Police Station said that they had received an information regarding illegal storage of sand at Kasba Bengre. A team of police headed by Assistant Sub Inspector Purandar Gowda and Head Constable Shailendra rushed to Kasba Bengre and found around 20 loads of sand, being dumped at a site namely `Akshay Corporation.’

Later, the sand was seized and Panambur Inspector Rafeeq handed over the case to the Deputy Director of Mines and Geology, for further investigation, police sources said.
