Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district administration has announced orange alert as IMD has forecast strong wind and heavy rain between May 31 and June 1.
DK district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, in a press release has informed that IMD forecast has spoken about strong wind and heavy rain owing to low pressure formation over Arabian sea.
As per the forecast, around 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm rainfall is expected to lash the coastal area.
The DC has also asked public to contact toll free number 1077, if any disaster occurs in the district.
