A very happy new year folks…
31st December reminds us that we have aged a year, some like wine and whiskey, some like wood left in the rain.
This aging process also reminds us that we must leave a legacy, however small it may be – We must touch someone somewhere, ( metaphorically speaking) in whatever way we can, however we can. They must get the feeling that their lives got better, in some way because of us… That must be our resolution for 2020 and onwards, till our breath exhausts itself over our inability to sustain it. At Newskarnataka.com we try to do that every day. You will know that if you follow our footprint across digital, video and print mediums.
Incidentally, 2020 is such an aptly titled year for the emerging generation and indeed all of us who live in this climate-changed world. Metaphorically speaking again, I relate it to a T20 match – it will be energetic, fast-paced, with no time for thought, just action. It will be over, just after it begins as it will in Mangaluru this year because of the regulations in place.
But one thing is certain; if we do take time out to breathe, to leave a little of ourselves with others, for those others and certainly for ourselves, 2020 will become 8080.
