Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has said that the proposed national new education policy will be helpful to Kannada language.
He was addressing the gathering after hoisting flag during the district-level Kannada Rajyotsava programme at the Nehru Maidan on Friday, November 1. He said that the proposed new education policy has allowed to implement Kannada language in all educational institutions, due to which the Kannada language would get more prominence in coming days.
Meanwhile, Kota informed that district Rajyotsava award will be presented to the achievers only after the model code of conduct is withdrawn. “ As the State Election Commission has already announced election for Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), model code of conduct is in placed now. Hence, we have to abide by the guidelines and the awards will be presented next year,” he said.
