Mangaluru: The Navaratri festival celebrations at Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple was inaugurated by the Karnataka Bank Managing Director, Mahabaleshwara MS on October 10.
Events such as the Tiger Dance and bands accompanied the procession of the idol of Goddess Sharada in the temple premises which will be installed at the Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Kalyana Mantapa. Following this, there will be a special pooja held every day with regular community feasts. The temple has also planned cultural events and programmes by various artists from 6 PM.
The grand immersion procession will take place on October 19 from 4 PM onwards.
Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will be inaugurating the Dasara event on October 14 while the distribution of Gokarnanatheshwara health card takes place.
