Mangaluru: Former MLA Moideen Bava has alleged that BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel has not spent a single pie on Mangaluru North Assembly constituency during his 10 years term as MP.

Addressing the reporters at the district Congress office on Monday, April 15, Moideen Bava opined that not a single developmental work was undertaken in Mangaluru North Assembly constituency. “Though a total of Rs 10 Crore was earmarked for developmental works in Mangaluru North Assembly constituency, it has not been spent here. If Nalin has really spent the money from his MP’s funds on Suratkal and Gurupura block, he should reveal it in public”, he challenged.

Listing out the developmental works during his tenure as MLA, Moideen Bava said, a total of 29 Ambedkar Bhavans were built in Mangaluru North Constituency and Rs 180 Crore spent on road works “, he said.

Meanwhile, Moideen Bava asked the public to vote for coalition candidate Mithun Rai claiming that Nalin is not capable of speaking in the Parliament. “As Mithun Rai is an educated person and has a strong will to do any work, people should support and elect him”, he said.

Gurupura Block Congress President Surendra Kambli and other leaders R K Pruthwiraj, Krishna Amin, Ganesh Poojary, Melwin among others were present.
