Kasargod: An incident of abduction in broad daylight has been reported in Chittarikkaal on August 30. Meenu (23), wife of Manoj, a resident of Velladka in Chittarikkal and her son Sai Krishna (3) are the two who were abducted in a car by miscreants.
The investigation is on to find out if the abduction was due to an old enmity or a deliberate act of depravity.
Manoj is a mechanic. The abduction took place after he had left for his workplace. He received a call from his wife telling him that some men had come to their house in a car and were assaulting them. But when he tried to call her back, he said that her phone was switched off.
The neighbours heard the shouts and rushed to their aid. But they told the police that by the time they arrived, the miscreants had already taken them away in their car.
