Mangaluru: City-based photo-journalist Apul Alva Ira has bagged the certificate of merit in the 5th Jodhpur International Circuit 2019 photography competition organised by the Jodhana Photo Journalist Society of Jodhpur.
Alva’s photo was selected for the award under the section of ‘nature’. He had clicked a photo of two snakes emerging out of the water and a dragonfly perched on the head of one of the snakes. This picture was captioned ‘No safer landing’.
Alva is employed as a photographer with a Kannada daily newspaper in the city. It can be noted that many of his photographs have been selected for both national and international awards in the past.
