Mangaluru: Sitting MLAs JR Lobo and BA Mohiudeen Bava, on Monday, April 23 filed their nominations from Mangaluru City South and Mangaluru North assembly constituency respectively.
MLA JR Lobo along with fanfare took procession from Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Temple to MCC. MLA Mohiudeen Bava took procession from Urwa Ground along with his supporters.
Before filing nomination, J R Lobo visited Infant Jesus church in Bikarnakatte and then proceeded.
Speaking to reporters, Lobo said that he had visited religious centres of all the faith earlier to emphasis the fact that people from all religions are equal and that we have to uphold harmony.
“I will always strive to safeguard the social fabric of the region and maintain its unity. Employment for youth and opening up investment avenues for the city are my priorities,” he said.
