Mangaluru: The office of Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath, located on the first floor of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) was officially inaugurated on Wednesday by his parents- Vaman Kamath and Tara V Kamath, in presence of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Speaking on the occasion Nalin Kumar said,” after being elected as a representative of people, Vedavyas Kamath has been working with the people and has been responding to their problems. The office inaugurated today is the place where people will be heard.”
Vedavyas Kamath said that the new office will be used to conduct meetings with public and government officials. ”I do have a personal office at Kodialbail, but this is the office provided to me by the government and hence this is the place where I will operate from. I am here for my people whenever they need me,” said the MLA.
A ‘Gana Homa’ (prayers to Lord Ganesha) was performed at the office as part of the programme. Zilla Panchayath President Meenakshi Shanthigod, Vice President Kasthuri Panja, MCC opposition leader Premananda Shetty, Mangaluru North MLA Dr. Y Bharath Shetty, former MLA N Yogish Bhat, Corporators Roopa D. Bangera, Rajendra, Meena Karkera, Divakar, Poornima and BJP leaders like Brijesh Chouta, Nithin Kumar, Prakash P.S, Anand G, Rajgopal Rai, Annayya Kulal among others were present.
