MLA Vedavyas Kamath visits Wenlock hospital

Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath met with the officials at Wenlock Hospital on Wednesday May 5.

After the meeting, MLA Kamath said that already two Covid testing machines have already been installed at Wenlock Hospital. Using them systematically, covid test reports must be provided in a single day, he added.

“I have instructed the authorities to open a help center at the hospital and inform the concerned family members about the health of the Covid patients, MLA said.

Kamath said that the corpse of the deceased Covid patient must be disposed of within a few moments of his death. He also suggested creating a team of volunteers for the funeral. MLA Kamath instructed officials to provide a full-fledged PPE kit for volunteers.

MCC mayor Premanand Shetty, state fisheries development corporation president Nitin Kumar, former corporator, and BJP Mangalore city council chairman Vijay Kumar Shetty, Wenlock hospital superintendent Sadashiv Shanubhog, and others were present.
