MLA Vedavyas Kamath files defamation suit of Rs 5 cr against social media user

Mangaluru: Mangalore South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath has slammed a defamation case of Rs five crore against one Sunil Bajilakeri for posting derogatory posts against him on social media.

As Sunil Bajilakeri was continuously posting comments and videos on social media against MLA Kamath alleging that he was involved in corruption, Kamath has decided to file a defamation case.

His Counsel M Chidanand Kedilaya has hence filed a defamation suit of Rs five crore in the Sessions Court. Meanwhile, Kamath has succeeded to obtain stay order against Sunil Bajilakeri from posting any videos against him in the future.

In order to file the defamation case of Rs 5 crore, Kamath has paid Rs 5 lakh as fee in the Court.
