Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath visited Car Street government school and Canara High School, Urwa to inspect the preparedness on SSLC examination, undertaken by the education department, on Tuesday, June 23.
The exams will be held between June 25 and July 4. After visiting the schools, he instructed the officials to be extremely cautious while conducting the examination.
Kamath also asked the officials to sanitize the schools and classrooms. Masks and sanitizers should be kept ready and thermal scanning also should be done while allowing students to write exams, he instructed the officials.
In Dakshina Kannada district, a total of 30,835 students will be appearing for the SSLC exams this year. Among them, over 6000 students are writing exams in Mangaluru South Assembly constituency.
Meanwhile, proper measures were also taken to bring students from Kasargod district. There are eight routes to connect Kasargod and Dakshina Kannada district and the department of education has already arranged bus services in all eight routes to ferry students from Kasargod district to Dakshina Kannada district to write exams.
