Mangaluru: Mangaluru North Constituency MLA Moideen Bava on March 15, laid foundation stone for market complex, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 162 crore in Surathkal Town.
Addressing the gathering after laying foundation stone, MLA Moideen Bava said, “I am committed to fulfilling the demands of the people in the Mangaluru North Constituency and develop this constituency. The market complex will be materialized very soon. All the businessmen have co-operated with me in this regard”.
The MLA said that there are allegations that he has taken bribe for construction of market complex. “If allegations are proved, I am ready to tender my resignation. In my constituency people expected development, and since last 4.5 years I am putting maximum efforts to fulfill their demands,” he said.
He also laid foundation for a six-lane road from Surathkal to Kaikamba Circle till Ganeshpura temple, concreting of Surathkal to Guddekoppa Road, construction sea wall at Meenakalya coast.
During this occasion Mayor Bhaskar Moily, deputy mayor Mohammed K, corporator Prathibha Kulai and others were present.
