Mangaluru: The Ullal police on late Friday night arrested a person who pelted stones at a mosque in Thokkottu here.
The arrested, Sagar, a drug addict reportedly approached the mosque near the railway tracks through the under bridge and pelted three stones towards the mosque damaging three window panes and fled the spot. However, the mosque cleric spotted him running and alerted the locals who then searched for him in the area. Within minutes the locals managed to nab the youth who was later handed over to the police.
The police recovered drugs and stones from his possession.
Ullal police are investigating the matter.
