Mangaluru: Milagres Toastmasters Club touched a milestone when they celebrated their 150th meeting with fanfare on Sunday, 9th September 2018 at the Monica hall in the Milagres Church Compound, Mangaluru.
Club mentor and district chief judge, DTM Dr. C K Ballal, district educom director DTM Malini Hebbar, Division Director, DTM Savitha Salian, Area Director Kiran Vasant, Pathways Ambassador, Brian Fernandes, and DTM Bharati Shevgoor were among the many guests present in the audience.
The event was enchantingly anchored by Arjun D’Souza. The celebration began with a melodious prayer to the Almighty both in thanksgiving and in hope for the future by Leona D’Souza.
The President of the club, Balakrishna Prabhu, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, members, and guests in the hall. He also thanked all those who were responsible for its evolution into a preeminent Toastmasters club in Mangalore.

Amita Shetty, former president, introduced the educational session speaker, Educom Director for division F, Double DTM Malini Hebbar to the audience. During her education session, Malini Hebbar gave insights along with anecdotes on how to effectively use body language while delivering a speech. The session was followed by a question and answer session. Double DTM Malini Hebbar received a standing ovation from the audience for her presentation.
TM Azma Imtiaz organized an entertaining games session for members and guests that tickled both their funny bones and grey matter. The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Mahima Bhat.
