Mangaluru: The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd organised a Christmas celebration at White Doves, Maroli on Saturday, December 14.
White Doves President Corrine Rasquinha and MCC Bank Legal Advisor MP Noronha were the chief guests of the event. MCC Bank Chairman Anil Lobo presided over the programme.
The programme began with a Christmas welcome song performed by MCC Bank staff members.
In his presidential address, Lobo opined that the true Christmas celebration is in sharing and caring for the needy. He emphasized that MCC Bank always believes in growth but never neglects the needy. Lobo also appreciated the efforts of ‘White Doves’ for their selfless service to society.
Sylvia Lobo, who retired from service in the month of November after serving the bank for 36 years, was honoured by the bank for her selfless service. Maan Patr was read by Morgansgate branch employee Wilma Moras. Sylvia Lobo thanked all the management and her colleagues for their affection, love, and support during her service to the bank.
Corrine Rasquinha was felicitated by the bank for her enduring, tireless, and selfless service to the society. In response to the felicitation, Corrine thanked the management and staff of MCC Bank. She recalled the miraculous happenings in her life and praised the almighty God for all the achievements throughout her life.
Hampankatta Branch Manager Deryl Lasrado conducted all the games. This was followed by carol singing and skits put up by MCC Bank employees.
The performances of the inmates of White Doves was largely appreciated and acknowledged. The star of the day was Santa Claus who concluded the cultural programme.
The thanksgiving mass was done by Dennis Moras Prabhu and General Manager Sunil Menezes delivered the vote of thanks. Directors Andrew Dsouza and Irene Rebello compered the programme.
Afterwards, dinner was organised for everyone who attended the celebrations.
