Mangaluru: The St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) commenced the new academic year with great enthusiasm by reopening on Monday, August 5 at 9 AM.
The students gathered at the Arthur Shenoi Auditorium for the inaugural function, which was presided over by Director Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ. Max Rasquinha from Houston, Texas, USA, was the chief guest of the occasion.
Fr Denzil Lobo SJ conducted a prayer service by singing a hymn and later, he delivered a brief motivational talk to the students. It was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Max Rasquinha delivered an inspiring speech that emphasized on determination and dedication as well as the challenging future that compels us to surpass all obstacles in life.
The event was concluded by wishing all the students a productive year ahead.
Dean Dr Rowena Wright and other faculty members were present.
