Manjeshwar by-election: Dry-day announced along DK district’s border

Mangaluru: As by-elections will be held in Manjeshwar on October 21, ‘dry day’ has been declared within a five-kilometre radius along the borders of the Mangaluru, Bantwal and Puttur taluks from 6 PM on October 19 till midnight on October 21. Dry-day will also be imposed from 6 AM to 12 PM on October 24, the counting day.

 Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, in a press release, informed that during the ‘dry-day’, all bar and restaurants and liquor shops should be shut.
