Mangaluru: Bishop of Mangalore diocese Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza and Bishop-elect Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, on July 19, offered their condolences on the untimely demise of Lakshmivaratheertha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt in Udupi.
Recollecting memories of the Swamiji, the bishops said that he had worked for the development of the society through his various initiatives. The Swamiji strived for cordial relations and peace among all communities, said a press release from the Bishop’s office.
