Mangalore, Apr 3: The sitting MLA U T Khader of Mangalore north constituency has been behaving as if he is the boss, disregarding veteran Congressmen and all those who oppose his upmanship.  A Committee has been formed by likeminded people who are loggerheads with MLA U T Khader and decided to nominate a candidate to contest as independent in upcoming assembly elections, said Ullal town panchayat member Farouq U H.

Addressing the media persons at a press conference held here on Wednesday April 3, Farouq said that MLA Khader has been favouring his henchmen and disregarding honest Congressmen.  It has prompted to form a Committee to contest in the assembly election against MLA Khader, said Farouq.

The Committee will hold a meeting at Swagat Hall, Tokkottu, here on Friday April 5, to choose a candidate who will contest the upcoming assembly elections as independent in order to stem the highhandedness of MLA Khader, emphasized Farouq.

MLA Khader is involved in scam of constructing Ashraya houses in Ullal – Someshwar and underground drainage works that are executed in the limits of Ullal town panchayat.  There is likelihood that if MLA Khader is re-elected in the upcoming assembly elections misappropriation will go limitless, alleged Farouq.

The Committee president Denis D’Souza, Ullal town panchayat former member Mohammed Bava, Ullal block Congress vice president Vincent Nazareth, U T Mansoor Ullal were present at the press conference.
