Mangalore Muslims FB page terms Late Ananth Kumar communal

Mangaluru: A Facebook page `Mangalore Muslims` is in news again by putting up a provocative post on the death of Union Minister Ananth Kumar on Monday, November 12.

A provocative post by `Mangalore Muslims` says that Ananth Kumar was communal and that he died propagating caste and Rama. It also says that “a communal person” like him should not take birth here again as accusing him of ruining the country. This derogatory post was uploaded on Monday at around 9 AM and it witnessed 255 shares and 805 comments in just five hours.

While some people opposed the post, some others defended it reiterating that he was communal. This post went viral and evoked widespread debate in social media. Facebook page Mangalore Muslims has been in news in the past for its controversial comments. It may be recalled that this Facebook page questioned a singer Suhana, when she sang a Hindu devotional song in a Kannada singling reality show. It had also questioned Muslim girls for tying `Rakhi` during Raksha Bandhan.
