Man plying from Kasargod attacks cops for stopping him from entering DK, 2 injured

Sullia: Two police personnel were injured after a miscreant pelted stones at them in Muroor of the Sullia taluk, the border region between the Kasargod and Dakshina Kannada districts on Friday, April 3.

The injured have been identified as Sullia Police ASI Bhaskar Prasad and constable Rama Naik.

The accused, who allegedly pelted stones at the police, has been identified as Sinan.

Sources from the police department informed that the cops were trying to prevent Sinan from entering the Dakshina Kannada district through the Muroor check post.

A raged Sinan abused the police and pelted stones at them. He also threw stones at the patrol vehicle of the police that was parked near the check post.

A case has been registered at the Sullia Police Station in this regard.
