Mangalore : A person who had been to the Netravathi river banks near the Mahakalipadpu Railway Bridge to pick cockles, has met a watery grave on April 4, Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Paul Lobo (55).
It is learnt, Lobo who was earlier engaged in boat repair works was leading a retired life since some time. On Thursday he had left home in the morning. When he did not return till afternoon, a search was launched by locals and fire service personnel and his body found at around 3 pm.
