Mangaluru: Health department has admitted a person who was in contact with a person fro Thokkottu, who was tested positive for COVID-19.
The move was made after the petrified locals informed the Kankanady Town police about the same on Monday, April 6.
The person who was admitted by the health department is a resident of Soujanya lane in Bikarnakatte, Kaikamba. According to the sources, the man was having close contact with a COVID-19 positive individual from Thokkottu.
When the man from Bikarnakatte developed fever on Monday morning, the residents of Saujanya Lane informed the police about the same.
Immediately Kankanady police rushed to the spot and made arrangements to shift him to the hospital, after consulting with the health department.
Later, police aasured residents of Soujanya Lane of taking all precautionary measures.
