Mangaluru: The Additional District and Seesions Court Judge KS Belagari, on Saturday November 18 convicted a man for attacking a police personnel.
The convict identified as Manoj Kumar (45) had assaulted a police officer on November 29, 2015. Manoj along with his friends had attacked police sub-inspector Nagesh and PC Paramesh for questioning him about keeping Yashraj Bar and Restaurant in Falnir open till late night.
The court has awarded Manoj with 14 days simple imprisonment and Rs 1000 fine. The court also ordered that the fine amount should be paid to the complainants.
Public Prosecutor K Pusparaj Adyanthaya presented the argument in favour of the complainants.
