Lucky escape for two after car plunges into Maravoor river

Mangaluru: Two women had a miraculous escape after the car in which they were travelling fell into Maravoor river here on December Sunday 10.

The rescued are Nisha acharya, a Bajpe resident and Prateeksha, a Kerala native.

Reportedly the car, a Chevrolet Sail LT (KA-19 MF 6966) plunged into the river, after they lost control of the vehicle.

However, to their fortune, the locals who noticed the incident rushed to the rescue of the two women occupants and brought them to safety.

A case is yet be registered.
